At the upcoming MWC Barcelona 2025, VIAVI Solutions Inc. will collaborate with Yonsei University, the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), and KT to showcase advancements in AI-driven Radio Access Networks (AI-RAN) and non-terrestrial networks (NTN).
Yonsei University and SUTD will present an advanced deep reinforcement learning solution addressing interference in urban deployments of massive MIMO base stations. Utilizing the VIAVI TeraVM AI RAN Scenario Generator, their AI-based mobility-aware beamforming optimizer dynamically controls beams to mitigate interference and enhance energy efficiency. This demonstration is sponsored by the AI-RAN Alliance.
KT will demonstrate its 5G NTN communication technology, including full HD video transmission. The joint NTN testbed from Rohde & Schwarz and VIAVI will validate performance.
These collaborations underscore the importance of ecosystem partnerships in advancing next-generation network technologies.
